The Retreat Team
Eleanor Spring
Yoga Teacher, Retreat Coordinator & Cook
I am a Yoga Alliance (YA) experienced 500 hour registered yoga teacher, and a YA registered pregnancy yoga teacher, with training in both pre- and post- natal yoga. I will be the lead yoga teacher for this retreat.
I am the retreat coordinator, so the person who manages things with the venue and handles bookings.
I will also be the lead cook of the retreat! I have catered several Urban Retreats and a previous residential retreat with lots of positive feedback and I’m really excited to provide the food and drinks!
Location
The retreat takes place in a lovely refurbished Dutch house and cottage, which sit right next to each other on the same property, which lies near the historic town of Zutphen in Gelderland. The venue is private and out in nature, but is still easy to get to to - it is a cyclable distance or a short taxi ride to the either Zutphen or Voorst-Empe train stations.

There will be both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available for those who want them.
Yoga PRACTICE
The idea behind the retreat is that people who want to really challenge themselves and push their level can, and people who want to take things more gently can.
The gentle and dynamic yoga classes will have a vinyasa yoga style (movement with the breath) with varying levels of intensity.
The passive yoga classes will borrow from both yin and restorative yoga styles. They are suitable for everyone who likes or is interested by passive yoga practices.
There will be a maximum of nine students per yoga class, so you are guaranteed personal attention.

CODE OF CONDUCT
As hosts of a yoga retreat, our first and most important responsibility is to create an environment where people are safe. With this in mind, we require all attendees to agree to the code of conduct, not because we think anyone will behave badly, but because we want attendees to know that their complaints will be taken seriously if someone does. As such, the retreat will have a zero tolerance policy on sexual harassment or any other illegal or aggressive behavior, including illegal drug use or any form of discrimination. This will result in being asked to leave the retreat, without a refund.
Terms & Conditions
It is good to be straightforward about practical thing like money, cancellation policies and COVID policies, so you know what to expect and can focus on getting excited for your retreat! They are laid out as clearly as possible, so you can make an informed decision if you agree to follow them.
BOOKING:
Payment of a 20% non-refundable deposit needs to be made within 48 hours to secure your spot. The remainder needs to be paid 1 month before the holiday retreat (by 2 November 2022).
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If there is someone on the waiting list who books onto the retreat after your cancellation, then you can cancel your booking at any time and get a full refund. Otherwise, bookings are non-refundable after 2 November. If you have very serious mitigating circumstances (like a death in the family, serious illness, or COVID) then you can get in touch to discuss options, such as transferring your booking to a future retreat.
In the event of a COVID hard-lockdown leading the retreat to be cancelled, you will be offered the chance to switch your booking to a future date, or you will be offered a 90% refund. The 10% that we keep is to help cover the venue’s non-refundable deposit.

It is totally up to you which classes or workshops you attend! No refunds are available for missed classes.

Alcoholic drinks will be available at the retreat. We ask attendees to be mindful of the fact that some people might not be drinking alcohol, and not to apply any peer pressure to drink alcohol.
