About Me & Teaching Yoga
I love the way yoga allows us to explore the connection between our bodies and minds, our thoughts and emotions, our breath. You can expect a focus on mental and physical well-being in my classes, workshops and retreats.
I try and keep my anatomy knowledge up to date, in order to provide evidence-based instruction in my classes. I welcome questions from students and strive to avoid dogma!

How I became a yoga teacher
I tried yoga a few times as a teenager, but I started practicing really consistently around my 21st birthday. I was immensely unhappy at the time and unable to focus at university. I tried a vinyasa yoga class in Edinburgh and was hooked. I knew I was struggling with consistency at that time, so I signed up to my first 200 hour yoga teacher training in Ashtanga vinyasa yoga quite quickly, in 2013, mainly in order to ensure that I continued to practice.
Through a series of circumstances, I quite soon started subbing as a student teacher. I knew I still had a huge amount to learn, and took another teacher training, this time in Hatha yoga, in India during the summer of 2015. I undertook an advanced 300 hour teacher training in vinyasa, yin and yoga therapy with Green Lotus yoga based in Ireland, and was certified as an advanced yoga teacher in 2019. I love continuing to learn as a teacher, and completed an 85 hour pregnancy yoga teacher training in the late summer of 2019.
